Installing – Limitation of Liability
Except where to do so would cause any part of these Terms to be illegal, void or unenforceable, DISPLAYDESIGN.COM.AU, its directors and/or employees:
will not be held responsible or accept any such responsibility in relation to modification of any of any of its products or associated fittings purchased either through DISPLAYDESIGN.COM.AU or any associated sale outlet. All installations and modifications including any transformer installation, MUST be conducted by a qualified installers
The installation method must adhere to Australian standards and lies solely the responsibility of the professional installing the equipment. Incorrect installation and/or modification of any DISPLAYDESIGN.COM.AU supplied product can cause incorrect operation as well as serious harm possibly resulting in death to the person conducting the installation or modification.
Online Store Shipping and Delivery Terms
DISPLAYDESIGN.COM.AU dispatches goods both Australia wide and internationally. Orders are dispatched within 3 to 10 business days of the purchase order being received and shipping times are estimated at between 3 to 10 business days depending on your location within Australia or overseas country and shipping method chosen. Shipping costs are directly influenced by the size and weight of the product/s purchased and your location; exact shipping costs are calculated during the shopping cart process and will be added to the order total before checkout.
Generally, courier delivers during business hours. Drivers will require a signature upon delivery. If you will not be at the ship-to address at the time of delivery, the courier will leave a card in your mail box with instructions for collection at your nearest pickup location.
If the courier is unable to deliver the parcel to you after 2 weeks, they will return the parcel to us at our expense. If the error was as a result of AboutSpace.net.au.au sending the parcel to the incorrect address or we have nominated an incorrect service and the parcel has been returned to us, we will immediately reship the parcel to your correct address free of charge.
If the parcel has been returned to us as a result of error or inaction on your part, then as a condition of us resending the parcel back to you, we reserve the right to pass on any additional charges that we incur for the return of the parcel to us as a result of your error or inaction and further, the additional delivery costs to have the parcel reshipped to you at your nominated address.
Error or inaction on your part may be, but is not limited to the following and is determined at the discretion of DISPLAYDESIGN.COM.AU
You entering an incorrect or incomplete address (including omitting a company name where delivery is to a business address).
You failing to claim the parcel for more than 2 weeks from date of the card notification in your mailbox advising you of attempted delivery.
If you opt to cancel the order as a result of the item being returned to us, we will provide you with a refund, less all shipping costs incurred and our restocking fee of 20% of the total order value.
All transactions processed through the AboutSpace.net.au online store are processed in AUD (Australian Dollars) and include GST.
If an order is not collected from the DISPLAYDESIGN premises after 30 days from confirmation of order ready, DISPLAYDESIGN reserves the right to charge a holding fee.
Online Store – Terms of Sale
All DISPLAYDESIGN products remain the property of DISPLAYDESIGN until they have been fully paid for by you. We are not required to deliver any product to you until payment has been received in full. We do not have any liability to you arising from the supply of our products to you, except that we shall provide you with a refund or replace products for you if there are any manufacturing defects. All warranties and representations are otherwise fully excluded to the extent allowed by law.
Product Availability
DISPLAYDESIGN.COM.AU is committed to providing exceptional customer service and quality products. We endeavour to make sure that all products listed on our website are currently in stock and pricing is true and correct. Standard delivery timeframes are between 3-10 business days; in the event that an ordered item is not available or we are unable to fulfil your order we will notify you within as soon as practically possible to arrange an agreeable alternative item, a backorder or a full refund.
Design Disclaimer:
Display Design plan and design consultations are undertaken for the purpose of general guidance only. We offer personal opinions and advice in good faith but with no warranty as to the accuracy of any information we may impart.
Any resultant sketches or plans are provided solely for conceptual illustration and should subsequently be analysed and evaluated by relevant and qualified electrical and/or engineering professionals prior to any further development.
Display Design are not qualified to determine the structural and integrity of any design concept and cannot be held liable for any improper engineering or construction that may be employed to realise the design.
It is also the responsibility of the client to ensure that any design complies with local fire, health and safety regulations.

The product images on this website are either created from our own photographs or are sourced from our suppliers. Please bear in mind that the appearance of colour can change significantly depending on many factors including ambient lighting conditions during the photography process as well as the calibration of your computer monitor. While every effort has been made to ensure that they present an accurate and fair visual representation of the actual product in question, they are intended as a guide only and About Space accepts no responsibility for any errors.
LIMITED REPAIR/ REPLACEMENT WARRANTY
Display Design offers a repair or replacement warranty on Display Design products in cases where the product fails due to defective materials or workmanship. The warranty period begins from the date of collection or delivery.
Also, please refer to WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE LIMITED REPAIR / REPLACEMENT WARRANTY.
You must have proof of purchase (such as the original dated purchase receipt or invoice) from Display Design to make a warranty claim. In addition, a certificate of compliance for the installation as compulsory by law from the installing electrician is required for products that necessitate installation by licensed electricians.
REPAIRS / REPLACEMENTS
Display Design Products presented for repair may be replaced by new or refurbished goods of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair the goods.
BALANCE OF WARRANTY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, refurbished or repaired products are covered only by the balance of the warranty period remaining from the date of collection or delivery of the original Display Design product. If the product is replaced with a new product a new warranty period will apply from the date of collection or delivery of goods.
WARRANTY- TERMS & CONDITIONS: AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
The benefits given to you in this warranty document are in addition to your other rights and remedies under a law in relation to the products to which this warranty document relates. Should your goods be faulty or damaged upon receipt, Display Design will offer a repair or replacement in accordance with its obligations under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (“Act”). To the extent permitted by law.
- Limits its obligations and liability for the repair, replacement or refund of the purchase price of any goods to its obligations under the Act;
- Is not liable for any contingent, consequential or punitive damages arising in way whatsoever in relation to the use of any goods; and
- Is not liable for any claim, loss or expense incurred by any person resulting from the delivery, non-delivery or return of any goods
WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE LIMITED REPAIR /REPLACEMENT WARRANTY OR THE IN-HOME REPAIR/REPLACEMENT WARRANTY: Subject to “Your Consumer Rights”, but otherwise to the maximum extent permitted by law, the DISPLAYDESIGN warranties provided in this document will not cover the following:
- DISPLAYDESIGN products that are not purchased and not installed in Australia.
- Where installation was not carried out by a licensed electrician as required.
- DISPLAYDESIGN products not installed in accordance with the product’s specifications.
- Defect, damage or failure to an DISPLAYDESIGN product resulting from misuse, accident, neglect, abuse, tampering, modifications or unauthorised repairs of any kind by any person.
- Damages not caused by a fault in the DISPLAYDESIGN product materials or workmanship.
- Defect, damage or failure to an DISPLAYDESIGN product resulting from any acts of God, including damages from lightning, power grid fluctuations, or power surges.
- Water damage of any kind caused by inappropriate placement of fittings
- The cost of renting, obtaining and using special access equipment (i.e. scaffolding, scissor lifts, etc.) for accessing products installed at a height of greater than 3.0 meters
- Where the product does not perform to the expectation of a user but it does perform to its features and specifications.
- Non-structural corrosion damage of non-316 stainless steel components such as surface rust
Should DISPLAYDESIGN not be able to offer a repair or replacement on a product covered by warranty, an exchange or full refund will be offered.
THIS WARRANTY IS VALID IN AUSTRALIA ONLY
HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM
Please email or call and return or send with the faulty DISPLAYDESIGN product together with a copy of the proof of purchase, to DISPLAYDESIGN where the product was purchased. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the customer must bear the costs and expenses of claiming under this warranty, including but not limited to the cost incurred in freight, postage, handling, travel, dismantling or reinstalling the product.
IN CASE OF MISSING ACCESSORIES OR PARTS, PLEASE CONTACT DISPLAYDESIGN BEFORE INSTALLATION OF THE PRODUCT. IF YOUR PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE AESTHETICALLY CONTACT DISPLAYDESIGN BEFORE INSTALLATION IS TAKING PLACE.
